Lee Bannon – Alternate / Endings
NYC-based Bannon starts off by crafting hip-hop beats for Joey Bada$$ and the Pro Era crew. Now armed with new found interest in jungle and drum & bass (and reportedly fueled by his childhood in Sacramento and new music like Machinedrum), he brings us a sound of “immersive atmospherics, deep bass and funk-ridden drums.”
Sumie – Sumie
Unlike her sister,Yukimi, who fronts the electro-pop outfit Little Dragon, Sumie has pursued a solitary and acoustic path. Recorded at German pianist Nils Frahm’s studio; produced by Dustin O’Halloran with occasional subtle enhancement from his own piano, the deput melts us with minimal and delicate acoustic album.

TOY – Join The Dots
It’s TOY at their explosive best yet: marching forward by reminiscing the legends such as the Stone Roses, Can and Neu! in their psych freakout pursuit.
Following a string of celebrated releases for the likes of Island and Metalheadz, drum n bass legend Peshay turns his midas touch to live funk, jazz and tropical compositions in a vibrant new direction on his first album for Tru Thoughts.
